To mother and father in law

This post is for Lowell’s parents. To tell them that I think about the life they had, in Africa, between 1960 and 1970, in Nigeria, with 3 young boys (from 6 to 10, when they came first), coming directly from Minnesota - from Fargo!!! - and staying 10 years in a town named Ibadan, North Nigeria… Knowing what life it is now, and certainly what it was before (I mean, more difficult), with no electricity, may be no running water, no experience of Africa… what brave people they were!!!!

After a few years, Lowell's mother gave birth in Nigeria, to her last baby: a girl. Living with scorpions, snakes, and other wonderful things I see myself here, in my garden, and thinking they could stay 3 years in Africa, without coming back to the States... I juste can say: WAOW! With three terrible boys and a baby new born, how did you manage all that, and still enjoying life, like you always did!

They have all my admiration.
